1) Chief Franklin Huffman has been a fire fighter for over 27 years. Chief Huffman is also a Lieutenant for Painesville Township Fire Department where he works full tme. He began working at LeRoy part time when he and his family moved to the community. Chief Huffman is married and has 3 sons. He has been Leroy’s Fire Chief since 2004.
2) Executive Captain Michael Fearing has been on the fire department for 17 years. Mike is a fire instructor, paramedic, and recent graduate of the Ohio Fire Executive program. Mike is also a Lieutenant for Concord Fire where he works full time. Mike is married and has 1 daughter. Capt. Fearing is currently Leroy’s fire training officer.
3) Lieutenant Tim Vlach has been with Leroy Fire for over 15 years. Tim is a Paramedic and fire instructor. Lt. Vlach has an associates degree in fire science from Lakeland Community College. Lt Vlach is married and has one son. He enjoy s snow skiing in the winter and golf in the summer. He also enjoys biking and belong s to two bowling leagues.
4) Lieutenant Mike Shoff has been a fire fighter for over 15 years. Mike is an instructor for Continuing Education, CPR and ACLS. He is also a fire investigator. Lt. Shoff is a fulltime firefighter and paramedic in Painesville Township. Mike is married with two children and lives in Leroy.
5) Lieutenant Craig Wilhelm has been on the department for over 10 years. He is a firefighter, paramedic and a continueing education instructor. Lt. Wilhelm is a also a full time firefighter for Painesville Township. Craig is married and has a son and a daughter. Lt. Wilhelm is the EMS co-ordinator for the department.
