Chief Mike Toman has been on the department since 2001. He is a firefighter, paramedic, Con-ed instructor and a Fire Instructor. He is also a rope rescue technician and a haz-mat technician Mike is a also a full time firefighter for the city of Mentor.
Assistant Chief Craig Wilhelm has been on the department since 2000. He is a firefighter, paramedic and a continuing education instructor. Chief Wilhelm is a also a full time firefighter for Painesville Township. Craig is married and has a son and a daughter.
Executive Captain Mike Shoff has been on the department since 2003, he is a BLS, ALCS and Continuing Education instructor, and a fire investigator. Mike is a full time Fire Lieutenant and paramedic in Painesville Township. Mike is married with two children and lives in Leroy.
Captain Jeremy Szydlowski has been with the department since 2014. He is a firefighter paramedic and is full time with the City of Mentor. Jeremy is the departments EMS coordinator and SCBA officer. He is a AHA and Con Ed instructor. Jeremy is married with 2 children and lives in Leroy.
Lieutenant Ray Paduano has been on the department since 2014. He is a firefighter, paramedic and is full time with Leroy Township Fire. Ray is in charge of Fire prevention and Fire Investigation, and is a Fire Instructor and Con Ed Instructor.
Lieutenant Matt Hayes has been on the department since 2010. He is a firefighter paramedic and is also full time with the City of Cleveland Heights. Matt is in charge of uniforms and fire gear.
Lieutenant Zach Luzius has been on the department since 2018. He is a firefighter paramedic and is also full time with Painesville Township Fire Department.
