Chief Mike Toman has been with the department since 2001. He is a firefighter, paramedic, Con-ed instructor and a Fire Instructor. He is also a rope rescue technician and a haz-mat technician Mike is a also a full time firefighter for the city of Mentor.
Assistant Chief Jeremy Szydlowski has been with the department since 2014. He is a firefighter paramedic and is full time with the City of Mentor. Jeremy is the departments EMS coordinator and SCBA officer. He is a AHA and Con Ed instructor. He lives in Leroy Township.
Captain Matt Hayes has been with the department since 2010. He is a firefighter paramedic and is also full time with the City of Cleveland Heights. Matt is in charge of uniforms and fire gear.
Lieutenant John Slansky has been with the department since 2018. He is in charge of station and vehicle maintenance. John is a rope rescue technician and is a member of the Lake County Technical Rescue Team. He lives in Madison Township.
Lieutenant Zach Luzius has been with the department since 2018. He is a firefighter paramedic and is also full time with Painesville Township Fire Department.
Lieutenant Scott Wells has been with the department since 2014. He is a firefighter paramedic and is full time with the Madison Fire District. Scott is a Hazardous Materials Technician, Rope Rescue Technician and serves on the Critical Incident Stress Management Team for Lake and Geauga Counties. He lives in Leroy Township.
